Turning ideas into Reality
Originally designed as a single scholarship, TransformRI initiative by Papitto Opportunity Connection (POC), quickly evolved into a program awarding multiple $1 million investments each year to empower Rhode Islanders—especially from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities—to turn visionary ideas into reality.
With the stakes high and the mission deeply personal, POC needed a cohesive brand identity and campaign ecosystem to clearly communicate the opportunity, encourage submissions, and reach diverse communities across Rhode Island. Enter Figmints.
What We Did
Figmints partnered with POC from the inception of the TransformRI campaign, developing a comprehensive suite of creative and strategic services:
Messaging & Brand Development:
We crafted the positioning and tone of voice, balancing inspiration with clarity and urgency. Campaign pillars—Transformation, Inspiration, Rhode Island, and The Power of Youth—guided the visual and emotional arc.
Visual Identity:
We designed a vibrant brand system that worked across digital, print, and motion assets, ensuring every piece felt bold, authentic, and community-focused.
Website & Automation:
The TransformRI site became the central hub for storytelling and submissions. We integrated intuitive submission forms with backend automation to streamline applications and reviews.
Campaign Creative:
From an evocative brand video to graphic assets and event collateral, we built a toolkit that could flex across every medium.
Omnichannel Execution:
We launched across Rhode Island through OTT (streaming), out-of-home (like bus wraps and super tails), social media, and digital campaigns. Each element was crafted to match the initiative’s high-impact promise while staying deeply accessible.
TransformRI was more than a scholarship—it was about rewriting opportunity narratives. By collaborating closely with POC’s BIPOC advisory board, we ensured the work stayed rooted in dignity, listening, and authentic representation. Every design choice reflected the communities served, from colors and typography to the spoken word performances that brought the campaign to life.
Something Special: Being involved from the very beginning allowed us to shape not just the look but the emotional resonance of a campaign designed to elevate unheard voices. Supporting transformative community work through storytelling, branding, and outreach was an incredible honor.
TransformRI set a new standard for what a localized, high-dollar impact initiative could look like—visually, emotionally, and digitally.
