POC & Figmints Celebrate the Finalists of the Transform RI Scholarship.

The Papitto Opportunity Connection (POC) is a Rhode Island-based organization that is dedicated to transforming lives. Figmints has been working hand in hand with POC to turn their vision into reality.

POC offers access to education, employment, financial literacy, and other resources that are designed to empower Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students who need financial assistance to pursue higher education and achieve economic independence.

One of POC’s most recent events that Figmints is proud to highlight is the Transform RI Scholarship. This is a scholarship that provides Rhode Islanders with the opportunity to learn skills in business and entrepreneurship and help them with the transition from college to career. Five finalists were chosen for the scholarship.

The foundation is committed to backing and implementing the big idea with $1 million in funding and will work with the student to have their idea transformed into reality. The winning idea will be announced at a celebration on May 26, 2022.
